Draft — to be checked before launch
Privacy notice
Proven Talent helps former athletes, service leavers and Olympians & Paralympians find work with employers. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).
What we collect
Your name, email address, password (stored encrypted), background, location, the areas of work you're interested in, your CV, your LinkedIn profile, an optional photo, messages you send us, and the jobs you apply for.
How we use it
To build your profile, match you with roles, introduce you to employers, reply to your messages and run the service. We use Claude, an AI service from Anthropic, to read your CV and draft your profile, and to summarise messages for our team. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf and does not use it to train its models. A person on our team reviews every profile before any employer sees it.
Who sees it
Our team sees everything you give us. Employers we have approved can see your profile with your first name and initial only. We share your full name, CV and contact details with an employer only after checking with you. We never sell your data.
Lawful basis and how long we keep it
We rely on your consent when you sign up, and on our legitimate interest in running the network. We keep your data while your account is open and delete it within 30 days of you asking us to close it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@proventalent.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
